The Systems Engineer Sr. position will provide direct operational support to the Lockheed Martin Center for Innovation (CFI) located in Suffolk, VA as a member of the Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) Engineering Team. This team provides the engineering, Modeling & Simulation (M&S), configuration management and technical support required to execute the CFI mission.
Basic Qualifications The candidate will have previous experience in the following areas:
•Simulation systems architecture, integration, configuration management, modification, systems and network administration.
•Projection/display and visualization systems, cockpit hardware, electronic interfaces and mechanical assemblies.
•Assist in overall execution of activities in a lab environment to include test design, planning, coordination, execution and performance analysis at various classification levels.
•Technical analyses to support the design, installation, integration, sustainment, maintenance, and operation of infrastructure, devices and systems/subsystems supporting a lab environment.
•Troubleshooting technical problems and anomalies, determining solutions, systems and network configurations from technical documentation to meet requirements and maintain a configuration managed baseline.
•Maintain lab security provisions and requirements at various classification levels.
•Developing, performing, conducting, and documenting preventive maintenance plans/actions required for supported devices, networks and associated subsystems.
Experience with Linux/Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft products
Must have a Final Secret clearance to be considered.
Desired skills Experience in distributed modeling & simulation and complex IT/AV environments
3-5 years simulation system software and hardware installation, configuration, modification and integration experience
Experience with full fidelity flight simulation systems at multiple classification level environments
Experience in systems design development for experimentation
Strong working knowledge of network design, implementation and troubleshooting, to include simulation protocols.
Experience in conducting technical analyses supporting design, installation, integration, sustainment, and operation of devices, systems/subsystems.
Experience in determining solutions for technical problems and issues to include reconfiguration of systems, networks and infrastructure
Ability to coordinate and lead projects / initiatives across multiple functional areas and diverse groups
