Position Title Sonar Technicians

AECOM is actively seeking Sonar Technicians to provide technical support and engineering services for Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC), Code 286. Provide technical support, system testing, inspections and assessment assistance on Surface Sonar Systems/equipment (all mods), peripherals, and interfaces.
Surface Sonars, including SQS-53, and SQS-56 variants
Underwater Sounding Systems
Underwater Communications Systems
Surface Ship Torpedo Defense Systems
In-Situ measurement systems
A minimum of five (5) years full-time hands-on technical experience within last 15 years in the operation, maintenance, installation, test, and/or repair of electrical/electronic systems/equipment incorporated in Combat, ASW, USW, MIW, or C4I systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: A minimum of three (3) years full-time engineering experience with in the last 5 years in Combat systems, ASW,USW,MIW, and or C4I. Experience troubleshooting and repair of sonar auxiliary and subsystems including:
AN/WQC-2A underwater communications
AN/SLQ-25 Torpedo Defense Systems.
Transducer arrays and Cables testing experience using AN/WQM-9 or equivalent equipment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs necessary for report filing
Position requires the ability to work onboard US Navy ships and access ship repair industrial facilities.
Position may require travel.
Position requires an active Security Clearance and ability to obtain a Common Access Card.
